ABOUT ME
Sam Herauf is a strength and conditioning coach based in Bismarck, North Dakota, and the founder of Badlands Athletic Club.
With over a decade of experience at the collegiate and high school levels, Sam has built his coaching around one core principle: strength training should be simple, effective, and accessible to anyone willing to put in the work.
While his background is rooted in training athletes, his approach is built for more than just competitive sports. Sam works with both athletes and everyday individuals — from those chasing performance on the field to those simply looking to get stronger, healthier, and more capable in daily life.
He holds multiple industry-recognized certifications, including the Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the NSCA, NSCA Certified Personal Trainer (CPT), and USA Weightlifting (USAW). His coaching is grounded in proven, evidence-based methods focused on building strength, improving performance, and developing long-term consistency.
Sam’s programs emphasize progressive overload, sound technique, and efficient training sessions designed to fit real-life schedules. Whether the goal is athletic performance or general strength and fitness, the process stays the same: show up, put in the work, and get better over time.
